Weak Pool Flow? Fix Your Circulation

The Importance of Robust Pool Circulation Circulation is the lifeblood of your pool, responsible for moving sanitized and filtered water throughout the entire vessel. If your pool has weak flow (often visible by the low output from the return jets), you face two immediate problems: 1) Chemical Distribution Failure: Chemicals (like chlorine) will not mix evenly, leading to "dead spots" where chlorine levels are low and algae can thrive; and 2) Poor Filtration: Water will not pass through the filter often enough, leading to cloudy water. The top causes of weak flow are: a clogged pump basket or skimmer basket, a severely dirty filter (high pressure), or an air leak on the suction side, which causes the pump to cavitate and push less water. Our weekly service always begins with checking flow. We clear all baskets, inspect the pump for air leaks, and check filter pressure. If flow remains weak after these checks, our technicians expertly troubleshoot the plumbing system to ensure every gallon of your Abilene pool water is properly filtered and sanitized.
